Windale Technologies
Windale Technologies develops applications and component software such as Java, ActiveX, COM, and .NET components to enable the rapid development of mathematical software for scientific and technical applications. Our aim is to provide tools of specific interest and use to practitioners in the field, enabling them to more readily access powerful algorithms from the academic community. While languages such as Fortran, C and more recently, Matlab, have been the mainstay of much of the scientific and technical programming community for some time, there are very few algorithms available in a an industrial-strength, high quality component form suitable for quick and easy use in Windows programming. In many respects, the scientific community has lagged behind the business community due to the lack of data analysis components for their specific purposes. Windale Technologies aims to address this situation by introducing a range of ActiveX, COM and .NET components as well as applications which will provide advanced mathematical capabilities in easy to use software products.
Dr. Andrew D. Back

Dr. Andrew Back, the founder of Windale Technologies, has an extensive background in machine learning, AI, and signal processing. He holds a PhD in machine learning and has more than 30 years of research experience in the field of neural networks, nonlinear signal processing, system identification and time series analysis. He has published more than 80 journal papers, conference papers and book chapters. He has held a number of research positions and consulted to industry. He is developing groundbreaking paradigms for AI based on the concept of emergent, beyond-human, synthetic languages. These approaches demonstrate significant potential for social awareness and understanding the meaning of systems with implications for security, intelligence, trust, and AI comprehension by rapidly classifying sequential behaviors with minimal data. He has held research fellowships in Australia, the USA, and Japan. Dr. Back has made significant contributions to industry, providing software to international banks and companies operating on the NYSE and CBOE. Dr. Back (h-index 24, 7200 citations) has published in numerous journals and authored several book chapters on machine learning and AI.
