This is a sample application built with AudioR/X showing how it is possible to very quickly and easily record audio input as well as read and write WAV audio files. Instead of having to do the difficult task accessing the low level Windows functions for Mic/Audio input recording, or processing complex binary files, AudioR/X makes life easier for you to program your application with audio functionality. Sample applications are included with full source code so you can see how easy it is to use the component.

The demo application below shows ho easy it is to record Mic input and read WAV audio files using our component. Just two lines of code is all that is required to read in a WAV audio file. Combine this component with SpeechAnalysis/X to to determine a speech waveforms formants, pitch, Cepstrum, or even a full spectrogram! Couple both components with a graphics component and you will quickly be able to display speech parameters in a variety of formats.

Source Code Examples

Here we show the screen shots of sample applications built using the AudioR/X ActiveX component. The full source code is provided with AudioR/X for Visual Basic 6 and Visual Basic .Net. Note that the control itself is coded using C/C++.

Visual Basic 6

This application was built using Visual Basic 6. The processing for each method takes just one line of code to implement, the rest of the application is for the GUI and data display. You are free to use this source code as part of your application if you purchase AudioR/X.
